Fairway Apprentices’ whip up over £300 for John Taylor Hospice

Three of Fairway Homecare’s Apprentices’ who are currently undertaking their Level 2 Diploma in Care, put their baking skills to the test by organising a ‘Big Brummie Bake’ at Fairway’s office based in Sutton Coldfield, raising essential funds for John Taylor Hospice.

They certainly impressed by having a wide variety of delicious treats on offer and had a great day putting their skills to the test for a great cause, raising an impressive £313 for the charity. John Taylor Hospice help make every moment matter for people living with a terminal illness and have been providing expert ‘Taylor-made’ end of life care in Birmingham since 1910.

The team attended John Taylor’s open day to hand over the monies raised by the cake sale, which also gave our Apprentices’ an insight to a hospice environment and help break down the preconceptions people can have about hospice care. The day featured lots of useful information and activities which is valuable to the group’s studies and progression.

We would like to thank our great team of Apprentices’ and John Taylor for having us. We are delighted to have supported this worthy charity, raising essential funds for their vital work.
